Ecological Bodies

Ecological Bodies–a week of somatic-oriented practices produced in collaboration with Emily Jones–took place July 15-22, 2017 in Portland, Oregon and Nehalem, Oregon.

Proposals were offered to build awareness of human bodies in relationship to various environments and ecologies. Artists and participants considered how interactions with and “stories of” the space and objects shaped the relationships they have with their interior. At the end of this week, several collaborating artists traveled to the coast to conduct further research and harvest, shared through scores, photographs, writings, and other formats.
